We appreciate the trust you place in us and would like to inform you about how we are addressing the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that on March 20, 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis mandated that all orthodontic offices are prohibited from providing any medically unnecessary, non-urgent, non-emergency procedures until May 8, 2020 due to the outbreak of Covid-19. The executive order by the governor is intended to conserve all medical supplies, including personal protection equipment ( masks, gloves, etc.), to only that which is to be used in response to this emergency. This means that dentists are unable to perform any procedures during this time unless a patient is having a true emergency. While we are devastated by this news, we understand the impact that COVID-19 is having across the nation and support the efforts to protect our community.
Anyone who has an appointment schedule before May 8th will be cancelled. Rescheduling several weeks of patients will take time so we ask you to be patient and understanding of the timing constraints we will have in seeing patients when we return. We hope to begin seeing patients again on Monday, May 11th, but during these unprecedented times, we cannot predict if the government will extend our return date. Therefore, we will delay calling our patients to reschedule until we are certain of our return date. If anything changes before May 8th, and we can reopen earlier, we will let you know.
If you or your child has an orthodontic emergency, PLEASE contact us at 813-961-1313 or 813-563-9994. We will triage over the phone first to determine if an office visit is necessary.
